You have found a fare for Athens to Nafplio, Delphi, Sounio or Meteora, and your flight lands at Athens International Airport. Before you rely on that number for an Athens airport transfer, check where it starts. A fare belongs to a specific origin, and the airport is not the same origin as an address in Athens.
Start with the origin, not the destination
TransferHub’s route pages for Athens to Nafplio, Delphi, Cape Sounio and Meteora describe journeys that begin at an address in Athens. Read each page for the charging basis it states, for example whether the figure is a starting price per vehicle for one direction. Those pages do not describe a pickup at the airport, and their fares should not be carried over to one.
The four airport journeys are quoted individually
For these four destinations there are separate airport pages. They are individual quote only, with no published fare:
- Athens Airport and Nafplio: individual quote
- Athens Airport and Delphi: individual quote
- Athens Airport and Cape Sounio: individual quote
- Athens Airport and Meteora: individual quote
This guide gives no airport fare, and you should not estimate one from the city price. Only the written quote for your journey establishes it.
The same destination, two different journeys
- Nafplio: the city-origin route starts from an Athens address. The airport page starts from the airport. If you are unsure whether you want a transfer or a day trip, read the Nafplio guide.
- Delphi: compare the city-origin route with the airport page above, and use the Delphi and Nafplio comparison if you are still choosing a day.
- Cape Sounio: the city-origin route and the airport page cover different starting points.
- Meteora: the city-origin route is separate from the airport page. For help deciding, see the Meteora guide.
What to put in the request
- The origin: the airport, or the exact Athens address.
- The direction, and the date for each direction.
- For an airport pickup, the flight number and arrival date.
- Passengers, bags and any child seats.
- Any stop you would like to ask about.
Ask the reply to repeat the origin and the charging basis so you can check them against your plan.
Compare like with like
When you compare two answers, check that they share the same origin, direction, vehicle category and extras. A quote for a different origin is not a cheaper version of the same service. A lower-looking starting price does not make two differently scoped journeys comparable.
Still deciding how to leave the airport?
Athens International Airport describes the public transport options on its own page. Check current operator information for your date. If you are comparing a private transfer with other options, see Athens Airport to the city: choosing your transport.
To ask about your own journey, use the contact page or write to info@transferhub.gr. A request is not a confirmed reservation.
