Delphi’s oracle and the balconies of Parnassus
The morning belongs to Delphi: the Sacred Way past the Athenian Treasury, the Temple of Apollo where the oracle spoke, the theatre above it, and the museum with the bronze Charioteer. After lunch the road climbs twelve kilometres east to Arachova, a stone village stacked up the side of Mount Parnassus, known for its woven rugs, its formaella cheese and its long views over the olive plain toward the sea.

Pick-up in Athens
Hotel, apartment or port pick-up at 08:00 and out of the city on the road to Thebes.
Drive to Delphi
Two and a half hours across Boeotia with a comfort stop, climbing Parnassus through Arachova, which you will return to later in the day.
Delphi archaeological site
The Sacred Way, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, the theatre and the stadium. Entrance tickets are not included.
Delphi Archaeological Museum
The Charioteer and the finds from the sanctuary, next to the site entrance.
Arachova
Ten minutes back up the mountain to the stone village on the cliffs: lunch in a taverna, then time for the clock tower, the lanes and the shops selling local cheese and formaela. Lunch is flexible: a partner restaurant arranged on request (ask us for details) or a place of your own choice, at your own expense unless agreed in your quote.
Return to Athens
Back down through Livadia and Thebes, at your hotel around 17:30.
