From the oracle to the sea
After a morning at Delphi among the temples and treasuries of Apollo, the road drops through Greece’s largest olive grove to the Corinthian Gulf. Itea gives you the first taste of the seafront; Galaxidi seals the day, a small seafarers’ town of stone captains’ houses and quiet waterfront tavernas that most visitors to Delphi never see.

Frequently asked questions
In summer, usually yes. After Delphi you have about an hour and a half in Galaxidi for lunch by the harbour and a walk, and there are small beaches within a few minutes of the town. Bring swimwear and a towel and tell your driver.
Allow 9 to 10 hours door to door with a 08:00 pick-up: Delphi and the museum in the morning, a short stop in Itea, lunch in Galaxidi and a return to Athens around 18:00.
Your driver-guide speaks English, Greek and French and briefs you on the way, but drivers are not licensed to guide inside archaeological sites. A state-licensed guide can be arranged on request at an extra charge. Entrance tickets are not included.

Two and a half hours through Thebes, Livadia and Arachova with a comfort stop.
Delphi archaeological site and museum
The Sacred Way, the Temple of Apollo, the theatre and the museum with the Charioteer. Entrance tickets are not included.
Itea
Twenty-five minutes down through the largest olive grove in Greece to the small port of Delphi on the Gulf of Corinth, for a walk along the waterfront.
Galaxidi
Twenty minutes along the coast to the old shipowners captains town: stone mansions around two harbours, lunch by the water and time to wander the lanes. Lunch is flexible: a partner restaurant arranged on request (ask us for details) or a place of your own choice, at your own expense unless agreed in your quote.
Return to Athens
Back over the mountain and through Boeotia, at your hotel around 18:00.
